Meet The Judges

Karen Mayeu

Karen founded Grey Cat Design in 2001 and after more than 10 years of producing award-winning work, she turned her attention to teaching. In 2012, she joined the adjunct faculty of the New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA), followed by a similar role at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). She is currently at the NHIA serving as the interim BFA design chairperson and full-time faculty. She is a member of the New Hampshire Creative Club (NHCC), currently serving as the vice president. She lives in Pembroke, NH with her husband and twin daughters.

Siobhan Gallagher

Siobhan is a Senior Designer with Abrams Kids & Comic Arts in New York. She's originally from Moncton, New Brunswick (Canada ♥) and graduated with a BDes from NSCAD University in 2012. She previously worked at Penguin Random House and has been featured in Bust, Us Weekly, Huffington Post, and Refinery29. Her first book, In a Daze Work: A Pick-Your-Path Journey Through the Daily Grind, is a humor-based, illustrated choose-your-own-adventure story that is being published by Penguin Random House in July 2017.

Jennifer Lucey-Brzoza

Jennifer is the Principal/Creative Director at Oat Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts. A self-taught designer, her approach is unbridled. Ideas are influenced by constant research of the world around her and are weighed by an original view of possibility.

Rory Keohane

Rory is the Principal/Brand Strategist at Oat Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts. Rory helps clients navigate the creative process of brand development. His goal is to thoughtfully craft narratives at the convergence of business objectives and complex design solutions.

Daniel Fishel

Daniel is an illustrator and hand letterer living in Queens, NY with his cat Avocado. He studied illustration at both the University of the Arts (BFA) and School of Visual Arts (MFA illustration as a visual essay). In 2016, he was named one of Forbes 30 under 30 honorees in the art/style category and in 2015, Print Magazine named him one of their 15 under 30 New Visual Artist. He is a regular contributor for Thrillist. And just so you know, he's not related to Danielle Fishel.
